SATAN LUCAS, SANTA CLAUS AND CHRISTMAS: THE SECRETS REVEALED - PART 1

I made a broadcast yesterday that I'll be examining a topic today....

Oh my usual and consistent readers and non-readers, if you don't read this, am sorry, you are lost!

Yesterday was Christmas day, right?...

What brought about the day been celebrated?

The relationship between Satan Lucas, Santa Claus and Christmas, do we know it?

Well, I have some secrets to share...

In this article, I want to employ you that you take your time to read it and get the message clearly.

I'll start this article with a historical background which many of us have never known or heard.

It goes thus:

According to a legend (name not discovered), _Santa began as a fourth century Catholic bishop named Saint Nicholas. The cult of St. Nicholas was one of histories most widespread religious movements. According to St. Nicholas historian, Charles W. Jones, ". . . the cult of St. Nicholas was, before the Reformation, the most intensive of any nonbiblical saint in Christendom. . . there were 2,137 ecclesiastical dedications [churches] to Nicholas in France, Germany, and the Low Countries alone before the year 1500." (Jones, Charles. W. "Knickerbocker Santa Claus." The New-York Historical Society Quarterly, October 1954, Volume XXXVIII Number Four, p.357)_

There is this popular book I read titled, The Christmas Almanack, it states, _"By the height of the Middle Ages, St. Nicholas was probably invoked in prayer more than any other figure except the Virgin Mary and Christ Himself" (Del Re, Gerard and Patricia. The Christmas Almanack. New York: Random House, 2004, p.131)_

Miraculous folklore and legend surround the mysterious St. Nicholas. Among the more popular legends of St. Nicholas is the rescue of three poverty-stricken girls destined for prostitution. These girls were poor and did not have the dowry for marriage. St. Nicholas saved them from a life of shame, by providing marriage dowries of gold. They then were able to get properly married. Another amazing miracle in the life of St. Nicholas is the three young boys who were sadistically murdered by a wicked innkeeper. Their bodies were chopped up and preserved in pickle barrels, with the cannibalistic intent of feeding their flesh to unsuspecting house guests. Of course, the amazing St. Nicholas resurrected the boys and their mutilated bodies. And like Santa, Saint Nicholas gave gifts to poor children, hence, his veneration as Patron Saint of Children. During the Middle Ages, hundreds of plays and paintings told and re-told the amazing feats of St. Nicholas.

Next, according to th legend, Santa magically appears in the
Netherlands around the seventeenth century. During this
time, Sinter Klaas (a.k.a. Santa Claus) was officially born.
Dutch children began the tradition of placing their shoes by the fireplace on December 5, for the mystic fourth century Bishop, Saint Nicholas. (Note: In the Dutch language Saint Nicholas is "Sint Nikolass," which was shortened to "Sinter Klaas," of which the anglicized form is "Santa Claus.") The next morning, the gleeful Dutch children quickly awoke to gifts and goodies in their shoes, left by Sinter Klaas. Like today's Santa, Sinter Klaas, miraculously, traveled from housetop to housetop, and entered through the chimney. Our next stop on the Santa highway is the year 1626 in the New World called America. Searching for the "American dream," Dutch settlers sailed from the Netherlands and established the Dutch colony called New Amsterdam (today called New York). The Dutch colonists quickly settled into America, bringing their customs, and of course, their beloved Sinter Klaas.

In December 1809, American essayist Washington Irving
published a popular satire of the Dutch founding of New
York titled A Knickerbocker History of New York. More than any other event, it was Irving's Knickerbocker History that is credited for creating our modern day Santa Claus. The following history-making words from The Knickerbocker History became the public inauguration of Santa Claus. Who could have possibly imagined the significance these simple words would soon have? And the sage Oloffe dreamed a dream,–and lo, the good St. Nicholas came riding over the tops of the trees, in that self-same wagon wherein he brings his yearly presents to the children. . . And when St. Nicholas had smoked his pipe, he twisted it in his hatband, and laying his finger beside his nose, gave the astonished Van Kortlandt a very significant look; then, mounting his wagon, he returned over the treetops and disappeared. (Irving, Washington. Knickerbocker's History of New York, New York: Frederick Ungar Publishing Co., 1928, p. 50)

At this early period was instituted that pious ceremony, still religiously observed in all our ancient families of the right breed, of hanging up a stocking in the chimney on St. Nicholas Eve; which stocking is always found in the morning miraculously filled; for the good St. Nicholas has ever been a great giver of gifts, particularly to children. (Irving, Washington. Knickerbocker's History of New York, New York: Frederick Ungar Publishing Co., 1928, p. 68) Next stop on our investigative journey for Santa, surprisingly, comes from the pen of a New York theology professor named Dr. Clement Clarke Moore. In 1822, inspired by Irving's popular, Knickerbocker History's portrayal of jolly St. Nicholas, Dr. Moore quietly wrote a trivial poem titled, "A Visit from St. Nicholas" for his own children as a simple Christmas present. Dr. Moore had no intention of publishing his poem, but in 1823 it was published anonymously, by a friend, in the Troy Sentinel. Moore's extremely popular poem was the spark that lit the Santa Claus wildfire. Santa quickly began flying through America. Dr. Moore's poem was later renamed the famous, "Twas' The Night Before Christmas." The finishing touches for Santa occurred around 1863 from the artistic hands of cartoonist Thomas Nast. Inspired by Moore's popular poem, Nast illustrated scores of Santa
pictures in Harper's Weekly and the world was officially
baptized with the face of Santa Claus. Nast's early Santa was burly, stern, gnome-like, and covered with drab fur, much unlike today's colorful and jolly fellow. But make no mistake – it was Santa.

Let us investigate the traditional Santa story a little closer. . .

The mysterious St. Nicholas.

The first major problem in the Santa Claus saga is the
person of St. Nicholas. There is very little evidence, if any, that the man St. Nicholas actually existed.

Nicholas' existence is not attested by any historical document , so nothing certain is known of his life except that he was probably bishop of Myra in the fourth century. . . ("Nicholas, Saint" Encyclopaedia Britannica 99)

Nicholas, Saint (lived 4th century), Christian prelate, patron saint of Russia, traditionally associated with Christmas celebrations. The accounts of his life are confused and historically unconfirmed. ("Nicholas, Saint" Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia 99)

Unfortunately, very little is known about the real St. Nicholas. Countless legends have grown up around this very popular saint, but very little historical evidence is available. (Del Re, Gerard and Patricia. The Christmas Almanack. New York: Random House, 2004, p. 130)

In 1969, the final nail in the coffin to the feeble fable of St. Nicholas was officially hammered down. Despite the fact, St. Nicholas is among Roman Catholicism's most popular and venerated "Saints," Pope Paul VI officially decreed the feast of Saint Nicholas removed from the Roman Catholic calendar. UPI Wire Services reported that St. Nicholas and forty other saints were deleted because "of doubt that they ever existed." ("Pope Marches 40 Saints Off Official Church Calendar." UPI Wire Services. <www.stnicholascenter.org/Brix?pageID=389>)

Because the saint's life is so unreliably documented, Pope Paul VI ordered the feast of Saint Nicholas dropped from the official Roman Catholic calendar in 1969. ("Santa Claus" Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia 99)

The next devastating error in the traditional "Santa comes to America" legend is Irving's Knickerbocker History. Irving claims the early Dutch planted the legend of Sinter Klaas in America. One little problem – it is historically false. In fact, Irving, a well known fiction author of such classics as Rip Van Winkle and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, never intended Knickerbocker History as historical fact, but silly satire. To heighten the satire and humorous effect, Irving even used the comical pen name of Diedrich Knickerbocker as author.

Oh readers, thanks for reading this. At least, you have added to your knowledge and I am happy about that.

Remember, this article is coming in five parts, part 2 is loading as I'll conclude the historical emanations and existence of the SANTA CLAUS.

Good evening to you all.....

Saturday 1 October 2016

ADDRESS BY PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI ON 56TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY. OCTOBER 1ST 2016

Today – 1st October is a day of celebration for
us Nigerians. On this day, 56 years ago our
people achieved the most important of all human
desires – freedom and independence. We should
all therefore give thanks and pray for our
founding fathers without whose efforts and toil
we would not reap the bounties of today.
2. I know that uppermost in your minds today is
the economic crisis. The recession for many
individuals and families is real. For some It
means not being able to pay school fees, for
others it's not being able to afford the high cost
of food (rice and millet) or the high cost of local
or international travel, and for many of our young
people the recession means joblessness,
sometimes after graduating from university or
polytechnic.
3. I know how difficult things are, and how rough
business is. All my adult life I have always
earned a salary and I know what it is like when
your salary simply is not enough. In every part of
our nation people are making incredible
sacrifices.
4. But let me say to all Nigerians today, I ran for
office four times to make the point that we can
rule this nation with honesty and transparency,
that we can stop the stealing of Nigeria's
resources so that the resources could be used to
provide jobs for our young people, security,
infrastructure for commerce, education and
healthcare.
5. I ran for office because I know that good
government is the only way to ensure prosperity
and abundance for all. I remain resolutely
committed to this objective.
6. I believe that this recession will not last.
7. Temporary problems should not blind or divert
us from the corrective course this government
has charted for our nation. We have identified
the country's salient problems and we are
working hard at lasting solutions.
8. To re-cap what I have been saying since the
inception of this administration, our problems are
security, corruption and the economy, especially
unemployment and the alarming level of poverty.
9. On Security, we have made progress. Boko
Haram was defeated by last December – only
resorting to cowardly attacks on soft targets,
killing innocent men, women and children.
10. Nigerians should thank our gallant men of
the Armed Forces and Police for rescuing large
areas of the country captured by insurgents.
Now, residents in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa
States, as well as several neighbouring states go
about their daily business in relative safety.
People can go to mosques, churches, market
places in reasonable safety.
11. Commuters can travel between cities, towns
and villages without fear. Credit for this
remarkable turn-round should go to our Armed
Forces, the Police, various sponsored and private
vigilante groups, the local traditional leaders.
Security is a top to bottom concern and
responsibility.
12. Besides Boko Haram, we are confronting
other long-running security issues, namely
herdsmen vs farmers, cattle rustling, kidnappings.
This Administration is firmly resolved to tackle
these challenges and to defeat them.
13. A new insurgency has reared up its head in
the shape of blowing up gas and oil pipelines by
groups of Niger Delta Militants. This
Administration will not allow these mindless
groups to hold the country to ransom.
14. What sense is there to damage a gas line as
a result of which many towns in the country
including their own town or village is put in
darkness as a result? What logic is there in
blowing up an export pipeline and as a result
income to your state and local governments and
consequently their ability to provide services to
your own people is reduced?
15. No group can unlawfully challenge the
authority of the Federal Government and
succeed. Our Administration is fully sympathetic
to the plight of the good people of Niger Delta
and we are in touch with the State Governments
and leaderships of the region. It is known that
the clean-up of the Ogoniland has started.
Infrastructural projects financed by the Federal
Government and post amnesty programme
financing will continue.
16. We have however, continued to dialogue with
all groups and leaders of thought in the region to
bring lasting peace.
17. Corruption is a cancer which must be fought
with all the weapons at our disposal. It corrodes
the very fabric of government and destroys
society. Fighting corruption is Key, not only to
restoring the moral health of the nation, but also
to freeing our enormous resources for urgent
socio-economic development.
18. In fighting corruption, however, the
government would adhere strictly by the rule of
law. Not for the first time I am appealing to the
judiciary to join the fight against corruption.
19. The Third Plank in this Administration's drive
to CHANGE Nigeria is re-structuring the
economy. Economies behaviour is cyclical. All
countries face ups and downs. Our own
recession has been brought about by a critical
shortage of foreign exchange. Oil price dropped
from an average of hundred USD per barrel over
the last decade to an average of forty USD per
barrel this year and last.
20. Worse still, the damage perpetrated by Niger
Delta thugs on pipelines sometimes reduced
Nigeria's production to below One million barrels
per day against the normal two point two million
barrels per day. Consequently, the naira is at its
weakest, but the situation will stabilize.
21. But this is only temporary. Historically about
half our dollar export earnings go to importation
of petroleum and food products! Nothing was
saved for the rainy days during the periods of
prosperity. We are now reaping the whirlwinds of
corruption, recklessness and impunity.
22. There are no easy solutions, but there are
solutions nonetheless and Government is
pursuing them in earnest. We are to repair our
four refineries so that Nigeria can produce most
of our petrol requirements locally, pending the
coming on stream of new refineries. That way
we will save ten billion USD yearly in importing
fuel.
23. At the same time, the Federal Ministry of
Agriculture and the Central Bank have been
mobilized to encourage local production of rice,
maize, sorghum, millet and soya beans. Our
target is to achieve domestic self-sufficiency in
these staples by 2018.
24. Already farmers in thirteen out of thirty six
states are receiving credit support through the
Central Bank of Nigeria's Anchor Borrowers
Programme. Kebbi state alone this year is
expected to produce one million tonnes of locally
grown rice, thanks to a favourable harvest this
year. As part of the 13 states, Lagos and Ogun
are also starting this programme. Rice alone for
example costs Nigeria two billion USD to import.
25. The country should be self-sufficient in basic
staples by 2019. Foreign exchange thus saved
can go to industrial revival requirements for
retooling, essential raw materials and spare
parts. It is in recognition of the need to re-
invigorate agriculture in our rural communities
that we are introducing the LIFE programme.
26. Government recognises that irrigation is key
to modern agriculture: that is why the Ministries
of Agriculture and Water Resources are
embarking on a huge programme of development
of lakes, earth dams and water harvesting
schemes throughout the country to ensure that
we are no longer dependent on rain-fed
agriculture for our food requirements.
27. In addition, government is introducing Water
Resources Bill encompassing the National Water
Resources Policy and National Irrigation and
Drainage Policy to improve management of water
and irrigation development in the country. We are
reviving all the twelve River Basin Authorities,
namely;
Anambra - Imo
Benin - Owena
Chad Basin
Cross River
Hadejia - Jama'are
Lower Benue
Lower Niger
Niger Delta
Ogun - Osun
Sokoto - Rima
Upper Benue
Upper Niger
28. The intention is eventually to fully
commercialise them to better support crop
production, aqua –culture and accelerated rural
development.
29. This Administration is committed to the
revival of Lake Chad and improvement of the
hydrology and ecology of the basin. This will tune
in with efforts to rehabilitate the thirty million
people affected by the Boko Haram insurgency
in the Lake Chad basin countries.
30. The second plank in our economic revival
strategy is centred on the Ministry of Power,
Works and Housing. The Ministry will lead and
oversee the provision of critical infrastructure of
power, road transport network and housing
development.
31. Power generation has steadily risen since our
Administration came on board from three
thousand three hundred and twenty four
megawatts in June 2015, rising to a peak of five
thousand and seventy four megawatts in
February 2016.
32. For the first time in our history the country
was producing five thousand megawatts.
However, renewed militancy and destruction of
gas pipelines caused acute shortage of gas and
constant drop in electricity output available on
the grid.
33. There has been during the period June 2015
to September 2016 big improvement in
transmission capacity from five thousand five
hundred megawatts to the present seven
thousand three hundred megawatts.
34. There were only two system collapses
between June and December 2015, but due to
vandalism by Niger Delta militants the over-all
system suffered 16 system collapses between
March and July 2016 alone. As I have said
earlier, we are engaging with responsible
leadership in the region to find lasting solutions
to genuine grievances of the area but we will not
allow a tiny minority of thugs to cripple the
country's economy.
35. In the meantime, government is going ahead
with projects utilizing alternate technologies such
as hydro, wind, and solar to contribute to our
energy mix. In this respect, the Mambilla Hydro
project, after many years of delay is taking off
this year. Contract negotiations are nearing
completion with Chinese firms for technical and
financial commitments.
36. The project is to be jointly financed by
Nigeria and the Chinese-Export-Import Bank. In
addition, fourteen Solar Power Projects have had
their power purchase agreements concluded.
Hence the plan to produce one thousand two
hundred megawatts of solar electricity for the
country would be realized on schedule.
37. And in line with the objective of government
to complete all abandoned projects across the
country, the Rural Electrification Agency's
projects needing completion are provided for in
the 2016 Budget. Bringing electricity to rural
areas will help farmers, small scale and cottage
industries to integrate with the national
economy.
38. Roads Construction and Rehabilitation has
taken off. The sum of twelve billion naira was
allocated to this sector in the 2015 Budget, not
enough even to pay interest on outstanding
unpaid claims.
39. Notwithstanding the budgetary constraints,
the current budget allocated two hundred and
forty billion naira for highway projects against
twelve billion naira in 2015. Many contractors
who have not been paid for three years have
now remobilized to sites. Seven hundred and
twenty point five billion naira has so far been
released this budget year to capital projects.
40. The Ministry of Power, Works and Housing
has received one hundred and ninety seven point
five billion naira. Work on the following highways
has now resumed.
Dualization of Calabar – Itu Road in Cross River/
Akwa Ibom States.
Dualization of Lokoja – Benin Road, Ehor - Benin
city, Edo State.
Re-construction of outstanding sections of Benin
– Shagamu Express way, Edo/Ogun States.
Expansion works on Lagos – Ibadan Dual
carriageway, Ogun/Oyo States
Rehabilitation of Onitsha – Enugu Expressway,
Anambra/Enugu States.
Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Enugu –
Port Harcourt Dual carriageway, Abia/Rivers
States.
Rehabilitation of Hadejia – Nguru Road, Jigawa
State.
Dualization of Kano – Katsina Road, Kano State.
Dualization of Kano – Maiduguri Road, Borno
State.
Dualization of Azare – Potiskum Road, Azare –
Sharuri Road, Bauchi State.
Rehabilitation of Ilorin – Jebba – Mokwa –
Birnin Gwari Road, Kwara State.
Construction of Oju/Lokoja – Oweto Bridge over
River Benue, Benue State.
41. Other major highways are in the queue for
rehabilitation or new construction.
42. Already contractors have recalled about nine
thousand workers laid off and Government
expects that several hundreds of thousands of
workers will be reengaged in the next few
months as our public works programme gains
momentum.
43. On railways, we have provided our
counterpart funding to China for the building of
our standard gauge Lagos -Kano railway.
Meanwhile, General Electric is investing two
point two billion USD in a concession to revamp,
provide rolling stock, and manage the existing
lines, including the Port Harcourt-Maiduguri Line.
The Lagos-Calabar railway will also be on stream
soon.
44. We have initiated the National Housing
Programme. In 2014 four hundred million naira
was voted for Housing. In 2015 nothing. Our first
budget this year is devoting thirty five point six
billion naira. Much of the house building will be
private – sector led but Government is initiating
a pilot housing scheme of two thousand eight
hundred and thirty eight units uniformly spread
across the 36 states and FCT.
45. We expect these units to be completed
within 4 – 6 months. These experimental Nigeria
House model Units will be constructed using only
made in Nigeria building materials and
components. This initiative is expected to
reactivate the building materials manufacturing
sector, generate massive employment
opportunities and develop sector capacity and
expertise.
46. The programmes I have outlined will revive
the economy, restore the value of the naira and
drive hunger from our land.
47. Abroad, Nigeria's standing has changed
beyond belief in the last 18 months. We are no
longer a pariah state. Wherever I go, I have been
received with un-accustomed hospitality.
Investors from all over the world are falling over
themselves to come and do business in Nigeria.
This government intends to make business
environment more friendly because we can not
develop ourselves alone.
48. All countries, no matter how advanced,
welcome foreign investments to their economy.
This is the essence of globalization and no
country in the 21st century can be an island. Our
reforms are therefore designed to prepare
Nigeria for the 21st century.
49. Finally, let me commend Nigerians for your
patience, steadfastness and perseverance. You
know that I am trying to do the right things for
our country.
50. Thank you and may God bless our country.

_among others...And you call it Independence Day?!_

Upon the announcement at midnight of September 30, 1960 by Sir Emmanuel Aghanjuebitsi Ewetan Omatsola, OON, an ace broadcaster and radio commentator who died 2013 at the age of 83 that "Nigeria is a free, sovereign nation", many then had thought it was the beginning of good things to come for the country.

Fifty-six years down the line, we cannot beat our chests and say we are where we should be as a nation, especially when one considers the abundance of natural and human resources Nigeria is blessed with.

Nigeria is like a man who has everything and lacks nothing, yet, he is still seen to be suffering and in serious pains. Corruption, bad leadership and outright mismanagement of our God-given wealth have kept us crawling, even though we have since been released from the clutches of colonialism through the actualization of independence. We have become more like a crawling giant.

*At 56? Nigerians not yet in promised land?*

If a country's greatness is determined by the promises and rhetorical prowess of its leaders, Nigeria of course would have become one of the most powerful and economic vibrant nation. Since 1960 the agenda to transform the country into a developed nation has never been lacking.

The pledge and desire to make Nigeria a formidable force to be respected in international community by every Commander-in-chief can never be overemphasized. Every inauguration of new President presents a wind of hope across the length and breadth of the country. But after a while the national interest becomes optional and citizens betrayed as the leader in charge usually blazes through a solo path of self-enrichment and compensation of cronies. As a result Nigerians have been placed in a permanent state of expectations.

Nigerian as a country is blessed with abundant human and natural resources. It is no longer news that Nigerian is the most populous black nation and one of the largest exporters of petroleum on earth. Ironically, there is no gainsaying to state that in spite of these natural gifts, Nigerians are still suffering from endemic poverty, epileptic power supply, dilapidated infrastructure, ethno-religious and resource control crisis.

In essence Nigeria's problem is not paucity of resources, but rather the inability of successive governments to convert the windfalls into public good.

Some school of thought relates poverty with large population and therefore blames population growth in Nigeria as a major setback to human and economic development whereas China the largest populated country is indisputably the fastest growing economy in the world.

In as much as we recognize the efforts and sacrifices of our leaders to get things done the right way, it is however pertinent to state categorically that apart from natural disasters and war, the major causes of poverty and underdevelopment are bad governance, corruption, injustice, mismanagement and lack of diversification.

Just as a deaf person needs no warning at a troubled market, every Nigerian knows without recourse to economic indicator that hard times are here. However, since a day is not criticized until nightfall, there could be hope of a better and prosperous Nigeria if government should guarantee observable progressive difference in social, judicial and political setting.

It is also expected that government should reduce unemployment and inequality, create conducive political space to accommodate eligible Nigerians without regard to their creed, tribe and party affiliation.

While we commend government on relative security and the courage to declare war against corruption, it should also declare state of emergency on food security and fight corruption without any trace of vendetta or favour. Another challenge before the government of Nigeria and the people is that the world attention is still on the fate of the Chibok Girls (I am yet to conclude that this is a SCAM) and the Internally Displaced Person (IDPs).

But wait.....

I said wait....

Let me call your attention...

*The constitution outrightly says, at 18, you can vote and be voted for?! Why then are the youth neglected and deprived?* Should be say self interest, covetousness? Whatever!

All these problems of Nigeria I outlined started from the very first coup when the military left their constitutional responsibility to take up new responsibilities they were ill-prepared for. They came with the excuse of restoring peace and curtailing corruption and ended up creating further unrest and corruption.

Today, our 'elected' leaders in most cases are still tolling the path set by those military henchmen that ran Nigeria like their family business.

To them, some of them have sold your birthright and solving the problems of the citizens who see them as small god and to them, they think there is no longer a priority, Illiteracy and lack of knowledge and understanding of our civil rights which would have helped give the weak ones more boost to continue treating themselves like say... They are completely ignorant of it, isn't that a shame?....

Nigerians the way they like and nobody says anything about it. For people we claim we 'voted' them into power, the indiscriminate use of sirens and abuse of our rights by using security men to chase us from their way tells a very different story. That, is just a tip of the iceberg and nothing compared to the suffering our 'elected' leaders are subjecting Nigerians to.

For a country so well blessed, our heroes past will turn in their graves when they look at how our leaders have succeeded in mis-managing our God given natural resources. Our heroes past will regret fighting for our independence when they see how greed and monetary gains have turn this great nation apart resulting in the unrest (BOKO HARAM, Kinappers, Fulani Herdsmen, Oil Vandalism) we are experiencing in this country today.

For a country so blessed, our leaders should all be ashamed of themselves; but then, they have no shame as long as their pockets and bank accounts are overflowing with their loot. Because we have not fully understood our powers as citizens of this country, that is why government will formulate policies that aren't obtainable in Nigeria and force it down on us knowing that nothing will happen.

Because we do not know our rights, government can afford to give us tit-bits, substandard facilities and rather than demand for standard facilities, we praise them for giving us the worst facilities.

Somebody said, whatever is done should be done well. If government will give me a road that will crumble before two years, then government should not give me the road at all let me understand that government has done nothing rather than trying to fool our intelligence into believing they have done something. As far as I can tell, Nigeria should be the richest and most blessed nation on the face of the planet. Nigeria is one of the few countries in the world endowed with many types of natural resources apart from oil which has become the source of our downfall.

Many of the great nations in the world do not possess a quarter of what we have yet with the little they have, they have turned their economy and people around making them greater than 'rich' countries like Nigeria. With what we have, our brothers and sisters will not be scampering away from this country to go and become taxi drivers and waiters in countries of which Nigeria is clearly richer than.

It's a pity, our sons and daughters run to a country like England which is virtually devoid of natural resources and are turned into slaves in another man's land when God have given them one of the richest nations in the world as their home.

Ah!!!

I have to stop here....

To conclude, I therefore call on government to quickly initiate the release of our girls and provide adequate security and food to the IDPs in short term and subsequently resettle them in their ancestral homes.

The Federal Government should as a matter of urgency revive the economy, dialogue with the aggrieved persons or groups, improve health standard and standard of education, then Nigeria  could stand shoulder high again in the comity of nations.

I also want to call on our present crop of leaders to do everything within their reach to get us out of this quagmire, which is a product of our handiwork. They must leave no stone unturned to renew the confidence of the people of this great country called Nigeria.

This is the time for them to put in place all necessary machineries that will make us to stop crawling and start walking as a truly self-respecting nation. Our leaders must go beyond their lamentation on the state of affairs in the country and use their good offices to help change the situation in the interest of all Nigerians.

So, it's high time we walked the talk and show the world the stuff we are made of and champion the course once again. Because I believe Nigeria will be great again.

May the labour of our heroes past not be in vain!

HOW TO MILK A COW

1 Make sure the cow has a halter and is tied to a sturdy post or held in a stanchion.

2 Clean the teats with soapy water or iodine. (Warm water may help coax or "bring down" the milk.) Dry the teats, but don't rub or irritate them.

3 Place a bucket underneath the udder. Better yet, hold it between your legs. It takes practice, but this can be done easily and comfortably. This position reduces the chance of the cow kicking over the pail of milk.

4. Sit or squat in a position that will allow you to move away quickly if the cow becomes uncooperative. Sitting cross-legged on the ground, for example, is not safe. (See Warnings below.) An ordinary milk stool can be fabricated with two 2x4's cut and nailed to form a "T" - cut to fit your behind and make sure it is low enough to afford comfortable access to the cow's teats.

5 Apply a lubricant such as Vaseline to your hands to minimize friction.

6 Wrap your warm hands around two of the four teats. Choose diagonal teats (front left and rear right, for example). Or, try the front teats first, then the back pair.

7 Squeeze the base of the teat, after gently clamping each teat between your extended thumb and first finger, so that the teat fills your palm as you squeeze down.

8 Squeeze down to push out the milk, maintaining your grip on the base of the teat so that the milk doesn't flow back up into the udder. Do not jerk or yank the teats. This motion is performed by sequentially squeezing your fingers from the middle to the pinky to force the milk out. Be gentle yet firm. Keep your eyes peeled for mastitis

9 Repeat with your other hand. Most people prefer to alternate (right hand, left hand, right hand, etc.) The downward squeezing motions takes less effort doing it in alternate steps than all at the same time.

10 Continue until the quarter that you're milking looks deflated. Experienced farmers can feel the udder to know exactly when all the milk has come down. Often even looking at the quarter just milked can tell you if it's been emptied enough or not.

11 Move on to milk the other two teats. If you use the diagonal method, switching sides is not necessary.

THE NEED FOR MOTHERS CELEBRATION

We all know what mother importance in our life is. Mother's are very important and needed in child life. In our all life we learn different things from our mother. Mothers always teach us and her advice are always very beneficial for us.

We can't ignore her advices. Mother is the nurturers & custodian of their kids and families. It is harder these days for mothers to be capable to be with their kids to the extent that they utilized to be because generally two parents require working full-time jobs just to stay alive or survive. Mother's always our very close and best friend and she is only person in the world who never deceives to their children.

For this reason, a day has been set aside to celebrate MOTHERS. This day is called "Mother's Day" It is a day set aside whereby you get to show your mom (or the mother of your children) how grateful you are that she is in your life. Don't waste the opportunity.

If it weren't for your mom, you wouldn't be breathing right now. If nothing else, you should thank her for that.

Mother is always deserved for everything. If our mother's are does everything for us then it's our responsibility to do everything for her. She keeps a very important place in our life. Without mother our life is black & white.

We should be friendly with mothers. We should respect her. Mother prayers always makes us successful person. We know mother's day come once in the year and on this special day we wish to our mothers and make mother's day special.

Mother heart is always very soft and patient. Mother heart is like a rare jewel. They love their kids during the worst (trouble) & best of times. All mothers are not same but all mothers love their children and want to see them happy. Mother is a great gift for us from God. No one can take place of mother.

Let me quickly outline why Mothers are very important and why we need to celebrate them.

Take a look....

+ Mothers are the emotional backbones of the family. They provide the holding place for everyone's feelings and do their best to keep us from being hurt.

+ Who would kiss your boo-boos to make it all better if she weren't around? Mothers have the magic touch (and kiss) to help us heal our wounds, physical and emotional.

+ Truly, our mothers worked hard and made sacrifices, so our lives would be better. There are not a lot of people willing to do that, so let her know you appreciate it.

+ Mothers are forgiving—so forgive her in return. Perhaps nothing will be as valuable a gift to both of you as forgiveness. Open your heart and drop your resentments. Now that's love.

+ When you want to climb the tallest mountain, your mother will make your lunch for you. She is the one who will support your dreams when no one else will. She will also remind you to wear clean underwear.

+ Her boundaries made you a better person. You may not have liked some of her decisions, especially when you wanted to party with your friends, but she did keep you out of trouble. Look at some of your friends without a mom who has cared that much.

+ A mother's ears and eyes hear and see everything. They also have a computer-like memory for all the good (and some of the bad) that came your way. It's nice to have someone with whom you can reminisce about your whole life.

+ Mom taught you to be a functioning adult. That was her job, and without that, making it through the modern world would be very hard. Your mom may have forced you to do your homework, but now you see how important it was.

+ A mother's smile, when it is directed toward you, makes your day a whole lot better. All she needs is to know that she has helped you to be and feel your best. Say thank you.

As with most holidays, Mother's Day comes only once a year. Make it special for her, and it will come back to you. There is something beyond words to express to the person who helped you to walk and talk, who gave you your first puppy, who helped you with school, and who gave you all the love she possibly could. Show her you care by acknowledging her value in your life. And if you don't have your mom around, probably, you are orphan, or from a divorced home or whatever, take someone who is like a mother to you out for brunch.

Before I pen off, let me talk to ladies not mothers. Ladies, I want you to know that, you are not yet a "MOTHER" but a "MOTHER TO BE". So, open you ears and listen, to be a mother isn't a joke or nothing, it's a critical position and no man ever wants a 'crazy' wife! It is only guys who want a 'crazy' girlfriend, so don't be deceived.

A guy who wants you to party hard every weekend, expose your boobs, wear skimpy clothes, loud make ups and get down with 11bottles of beer while he is on
15 will NEVER marry you!

A guy who wants sex everywhere with you when he is not yet married to you will see you as a whore when the time for marriage eventually comes...

Have you ever wondered why most of these crazy guys go for the 'timid' and 'local' looking girls when it comes to marriage but dump the sexy, sassy and gorgeous looking ones??? A man wants more than beauty for marriage!

The most funniest thing is that those boobs you are flaunting everywhere will eventually SAG someday, so invest in yourself! A man really wants a place he can call home, he wants a woman who is modest and can take care of his parents, one with whom the children can confide in, the one he can take major decisions with and tell all his fears.

He wants a wife, mother and sister all in one...

I'm not saying that looking good is bad. Infact looking good is good business, but you have got to look beyond that and pay more attention to things that keep a home. If you truly want to attract a decent man, please be decent yourself and do not let any man use you to pass time!

I pray for you may GOD grant you the wisdom to be the woman a man truly needs...

It's a pleasure.....

Happy Mothers' Day!

"Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

I also want to use this medium to send my note of apology, that whichever way, I must have offended you, physically, materially, socially, spiritually, lovely in all ramification of life, I want to say "I am Sorry".

RE: RULES AND REGULATIONS GUIDING "NOUN STUDENTS' INFOROOM"

RE: RULES AND REGULATIONS GUIDING "NOUN STUDENTS' INFOROOM"

Sequel to the publication of the above reference published 25th April, 2016, some matters arose and call for response from the school of thought that wrote and published it.

I hereby want to make some observations and comments.

First, I want to say, I, as the privileged creator of the group has never one time or the other call myself Boss or Lord over anyone. I repeat, I am not Boss or Lord over anyone. We are co-students of a great institution with the sole aim to be useful to ourselves and the nation.

For the purpose of this main objectives, unity and oneness is a tool or an agent that can be used to achieve this primary or main objectives. And a method or strategy that can bring this unity and oneness is the help of social media of which Whatsapp is one.

Whatsapp group has brought us all together to share, to relate and be one. If a group is created and titled, I think the primary aim should be met before any other thing. "NOUN STUDENTS' INFOROOM" has been created for a main objective which is to share all infos relating to the institution that can be of help to every participants.

The group has been before some people were added, it now happen that, the group is now taken for a platform where unnecessary jokes, chats are not carried out all in the name of "fun". Knowing fully well that it disturbs others. "Group Chat" is a simple phrase which simply means, collection of people involving in a conversation. But here in this group, you'll find "2persons" chatting private issues at times, discussing unedifying words hereby causing others to regret for been a participants in the group, and the major cause of this is because no rules and regulations guiding the platform. Like we all know, "where there is no law, there is no sin" but "where there is law, there is sin" this is one of the reason why the rules and regulations came to be.

NOUN STUDENTS' INFOROOM wasn't created where some exchange of words (abusive) can take place, if such happen, then, the so called leader or admin, lack leadership skill, 'cos as a leader, no doubt everybody is a leader, and as one, you should be able to regulate your followers. We should know fully well that, you are not the only one in the group, and you shouldn't allow your freedom cause a stumbling block to your fellow, if it causes a stumbling block, my dear, you have sinned..

Some people were removed, and they took offense e.g. Kenny, David, to mention but a few, among them, some called me "idiot", "fool", "is this your own christianity", with wisdom God has given me, and by the grace of God, I administers over hundreds of employees, I can't reply such people, I'll just ignore them. Why must you take offense when you are removed, I am not seeking for your pleading, but discipline should be our watchword. If you can't obey simple rules, how much more the instruction on your exam question paper? STUDENT is not Study and Entertainment.

As a student who wants to make extra-ordinary, he or she must be:
S - Studious
T - Time Conscious
U - Understanding
D - Discipline/Diligent
E - Expectant
N - Nurturing
T - Tough Minded

In my own capacity, and by God's grace, which I keep praying for, I want to touch lives, with the little I have done to some participants here and even those that are not here, and many outside the country which I can't mention, I know I'll be fulfilled when I die. Let's learn to be discipline! Catching fun is good! And I must tell you, nobody in the platform catches fun up to me, but my watchword is discipline. You may see me to take things serious, you are wrong! I am a disciplinarian, I grew and I'm growing among disciplinarians, and it has been helping me in ramification.

NOUNites, you all know, I am not been paid for creating the group neither am I loosing in any area, but I took it as a responsibility, a privilege and courage to be able to gather hundreds of my fellow and co-students.

The rules are set for proper conducts of every participants, I don't mean to hurt anyone with them or prove to be sentimental or been nepotism or bias, I only want to inculcate the virtue of DISCIPLINE in every participants, and I want to say, if we live and conduct ourselves by this rule, the group will be beneficial to all.

But at this juncture, if you aint pleased with the rules, you may/can leave. I am a man of my words and I can't reverse it, but if you think the rule can't work.... Uhmmmm, well, I know what to do

I'll continue tomorrow,

I'm off to library, good night and God bless you

I am always myself, no one can be me, I have a name, I am

RULES AND REGULATIONS GUIDING "NOUN STUDENTS' CHATROOM"

RULES AND REGULATIONS GUIDING "NOUN STUDENTS' CHATROOM"

Before I outline these rules, I want you to note some things.

1. The rule is not to hurt anyone
2. The rule is to help achieve the sole aim of creating the group
3. Nobody is a Boss in this group
4. These rules and regulation is made on this day 25th April, 2016.

Also, few minutes after the publication of this rules, the group name will henceforth be "NOUN STUDENTS' INFOROOM"

This is because, many participants here mistook the group name as a platform for chatting and unnecessary discussions.

Here the rules are as follows:

RULE 1:
Don't argue over silly matters
Nowadays there are huge number of complains that there have been quarrels over petty issues on this platform. A group is something where you must cherish your sweet moments with your friends or family. It's not a battleground where you can take a pistol and shoot the other! If you do want to argue with an individual, visit his/her private chat and put forward your opinions and not on this group where you disturb others, low their batteries with irrelevant chats. I as a person want to plead, that you stop it. But if anyone if found wanting in this will be removed and won't hear any opinions.

RULE 2:
Refrain from chatting with a single person
Do you know the meaning of a group? A "group" is a collection of individuals who interact with each other on a regular basis and share their thoughts. You could very well switch onto a private chat if you want to have a talk with a particular person. You must interact with all of your buddies in a group and treat them equally. Well,it puts off others in a group when they switch on their cellular data and find your nonsensical messages to a single person in a group! But in the same vein, when you want to add up a person from the group for a private chat, I employ you have proper manners, well behaved so as to avoid insults and been blocked, be courteous and don't have negative interior motive. If paraventure you do otherwise, you add a participant up and he or she sends complaints about you, you'll be removed and be blocked!

RULE 3:
Never begin a topic that would hurt religious or cultural sentiments
This is a definite no! NOUNites is an institutions consisting of students from different religions and cultures. There would be a Hindu, a Christian, a Muslim, a Sikh or even a Zoroastrian. And of course, there will be students hailing from North,South,East and West. Why don't you welcome them with a warm heart instead of stabbing them with a religious post, comment or pic? Though they might be helpless (remember they are not political hotshots to fight against you for your post),you will surely receive their wrath that would last for a lifetime! And to avoid this, it is strictly advised that you don't post such and if you do, you'll be dealt with!

RULE 4:
Don't make fun of anyone
Yes, making fun or bullying somebody in a group like this is the most atrocious way of irritating them! Do you even know how the other person might feel? Infact, do you know who he or she is, a millitary man, an armed force or an herbalist! Do you know if you make fun of someone, They are being enslaved to ubiquitous shame and they would never show up in the group if you gonna taunt them forever. There is a limit to everything and you must abide by that, failure to do so, it will call for your exit door and never to be re-added.

RULE 5:
Don't comment awful things about an actor or a celebrity
This is NOUN platform (although not official) and not a platform where you'll deliberate on a matter relating to a celebrity or an actor. No doubt, There is a fan for each and every actor/ celebrity in the world. You probably might not know about that and you would indulge in posting nasty comments about that particular celebrity. Well, then begins the war within a group! There are hardcore fanatics who would rip off your limbs if you ever try to bog down their favorite actor. They might worship them as Gods and you would find yourself in trouble for your not-meant-to-be-serious comment. If one or two or more participants is involved, for as many are involved, to them, we'll show the exit door. Please be warn!

RULE 6:
Don't spam with unnecessary chains and forward messages
This is very common among many whatsapp users. Euch messages include
"Plz Plz Plz..Forward this message immediately..This baby needs AB-ve blood.." (that baby would have probably
received blood way back in 2009 itself),

"WhatsApp will be off from 11.30 pm to 6:00 am daily WhatsApp logo will change color" (do you even know who is Aarohi Deshmukh?).

No doubt, You might have seen these messages right from when you have joined WhatsApp. And the trouble has followed you even after joining a group. These chains and forward messages are meant for nothing. They are hoax and are forwarded just for the fun of it!
If you do so, trust me, I'll remove you!

RULE 7:
Don't leave the group and Request to be Added
You might have deleted the group unknowingly. In that case, you can request the admin to add you back. But what if intentionally you leave the group just because you are frustrated or have personal issues with someone? The group is not to be blamed. Yes, you may ask the admin to add you back and might add you back with a warning. But even then if you insist on leaving the group, you will be eventually thrown out!

RULE 8:
Refrain from posting unnecessary things
Although this rule seems similar to RULE 1 to RULE 6. This means and show how important it is. This NOUN Whatsapp group is meant to be a specific one, specific in sharing issues related to NOUN, Academic Affairs, or Tips, Career Tips, News relating to education that can affect the participants positively and can be of good help to all. "Genuine Vacancies" can be posted, since the motto of the school is "Work and Learn". Participants can make requests on issues mentioned above. Wise Jokes can be posted and comments can be made but minimal. Excessive comments that calls for arguments and foolish talking may lead to the exits of parties involved

RULE 9:
Don't exhibit rude behavior or snap at anyone
Being rude on this platform completely exposes your true colors to your friends who were trusting you till then. If something angers you, politely move away from the chat or switch off your cellular data. Instead don't snap at the person who angered you with their post or opinion.
Remember everybody has the right to share their thoughts on any topic but not religious or celebrity related.

RULE 10:
Actively participate in the group
This seems very common as well, some participants will never share, or add, rather they'll be mute, simple what you are saying is, you can add value, and on this platform, we want participants that can and will add values.your participation on this group determines your attitude. Don't completely ignore and don't over-talk. It is enough even if you send occasional "good morning" or "good night" messages. If you have been busy, get back to your group once or twice in a week. Keep a check on the conversations so that you don't miss something important. If someone had an achievement, congratulate them even
though it maybe belated. Actively participate and keep the group alive!

Now, the group name is no more "NOUN STUDENTS' CHATROOM" but "NOUN STUDENTS' INFOROOM"

If you want to make comments on this rules, please do and if you know it doesn't suit you, kindly and honorably leave.

NB: Being the admin is a privilege and it doesn't call for reward. Please when making your comments be objective.

Thank you very much.

For no reason should this rules be copied and edited without the authors permission. If need be, consult the author.

RE: NOUN Examinations: Pen On Paper (POP) vs Electronic Exam (E-exam)

RE: NOUN Examinations: Pen On Paper (POP) vs Electronic Exam (E-exam)

With all my heart, I really appreciate your interest in my the Reference above, and I also want to use this medium to thank as many that showed interest in my E-books.

Having gone through the field of education, been in the field for a more than a decade now, and with my little experiences, I decide to come up with those materials and I hope you will enjoy yourself and your time to be spent reading them will not be a lost but you'll gain a lot.

These E-books are loaded with tons of information that can help you and your loved ones.

Back to the reference above, which I published on so many NOUN whatsapp group and Facebooks group, I couldn't continue with it because some school of thoughts have risen up with criticism and opinions that I think I should respond to.

I'll be addressing them one after the other.

The first school of thought, I won't mention name, said "the writer is jobless". Jobless in what sense? Writing a lengthy article or give clues to answer NOUN POP exams? My own interpretation to that statement is that "my clues are useless and are not of value". Let me say this, the truth is bitter and costly, so also information that is important is costly and hardly can you get it. I want to reply the school of though that said "the writer is jobless". It's not your fault but my own. But the fact is that, whether you want to deny it or not, from the clues I gave, tell me you didn't gain one thing, even little as it may be. Pleas feel free to tell me!

Another school of though said, "if you didn't receive lectures, you'll explain to me, how you were able to conquer those mathematics without a teacher or lecturer". I replied him, I said, my knowledge or skill in mathematics, is divine and it's God's will. Little is much when God is in it. I choose to study mathematics 'cos it's God direction for me and ever since I listened to his instruction, he has never failed me, and I have never regretted.

Now, from a school of thought that said "@Don, before you can conclude that NOUN POP exam is the cheapest, you have to go to other schools to write their exam before you say NOUN POP exam is the cheapest." I replied him and a colleague of my also replied him. I said, Examinations is not to fail student, it's a practice or an exercise put in place to test students over all progress in the scheme, or outline of a course. I also said, "you cannot give what you don't have". My colleague quoted a saying "proper preparation prevent poor performance".
If an exam is given to you, it's what you know you'll put down, if you put something excellent well, it means you are loaded, prepared for the examination! And I made this school of thought who is a Post Graduate student, that he shouldn't be surprise seeing an undergradute teaching a post graduate, all is, it depends on skill 'cos no one is a monopolistic learner or teacher, but her took the whole matter up and he became sentimental.

Hello NOUNites, before I drop my pen, let me share with you my experience in today's exam. I wrote MTH304 - Complex Analysis. We were asked to answer 4 questions out of 6 questions, not pride or boasting, I can answer all excellently and I'll score the whole marks. ask me how? Go back to my clue 2. I said

"Clue 2: NOUN has done their materials in a scholarly method. How? At the end of each Unit/Module, you'll see a bolded word tagged "References and Further Reading", a list of books will be listed there but many of us don't take note. Please go through all the units and modules of that course material, you'll find about two or three that are regular, please, go to bookshops, buy them! Although, financial constrain is there, you may buy one, 'cos most of the questions set comes from this textbooks and I bought about 3 to 5 for each of my courses and I must tell you, I found answering the questions easy! Also, if you check the course material on the 3rd page, you'll find something like "Course Write", the name of the author is there and the school where he or she lectures, make contacts with them, I must tell you, they are the ones that marks this scripts and set questions but not often! I met one in UniLag, Laspotech, etc... Although you may not be able to get all of them. Note that"

Could you believe that, all the questions, I mean all the question used in MTH304 for the exam, I came across them in the textbooks I bought (e.g Adavanced Engineering Mathematics by KA Stroud, Schuam Outlines on Advanced Calculus, the questions and answer are ther live and direct). I came across them during my studying. The exam was slated for 3hrs, I tell you, I didn't use up to 1hrs:30mins, and I answer complete four questions without left over! Now tell me, what grade do I expect when my TMA is 30 already? Isn't that A? I want to encourage you once again, my "Clue 2" may be difficult but it's God's design, apply it and I tell you, it will work for you.

I'll be release another E-book on the 20th April, 2016 titled "THE FUNDAMENTAL STEPS TO THE CHOICE OF CAREER".

If you'll like to have a copy! The time for sending request will be made know to you. Remember, IT'S FREE!

NOUN Examinations: Pen On Paper (POP) vs Electronic Exam (E-exam)

NOUN Examinations: Pen On Paper (POP) vs Electronic Exam (E-exam)

Examination some people say is a true test of knowledge. Uhmm, whatever they call it, all I know is that, after you have undergone a series of lectures and you aspire to be certified, then you must go through an assessment before you can be awarded a certificate and it's your performance in the examination that determine the grade your certificate bears.

National Open University of Nigeria and some other higher Institutions have two different options of assessing students performance. One is the Pen On Paper, also know as POP and the other is Electronic Exam which is common referred to as E-exam. I as a person have written series of this examinations both E-exams and POP but I found that of NOUN POP exams to be the cheapest while the E-exam, to be is just nothing when it comes to assessment and expression of student's real self when it comes to knowledge.

Now, in this article, I'll be comparing the two examination and I'll narrow down the scope to POP of which I'll give you clues on how to answer the questions, how to prepare for it, I mean NOUN POP and any other POP exams.

Now, Let's go....

Of course, once upon a time POP was the only option for anyone wanting to write (the computer is new, after all). But now it has its rival, a competitive rival. Has it lost its respect? I mean POP?

Not at all. A lot of people still write using pen and paper. They say it's faster, and that could be for you if you don't know how to type fast. And writing with the hand is easier as well. If you don't know how to type properly, the fingers will first find it painful, whereas writing using the pen is conventional and doesn't add stress. This is a point to keep in mind.

Note this Fact: Many poets still write on paper. The older generation still writes on paper. Paper is not a thing to be ridiculed as a medium of writing. Do your fingers get tired by typing too much? Try pen and paper instead.

My Preparation for NOUN POP Exams
Fellow NOUNites, I'll be stating some clues here and I don't want you to look down on them, but I tell you, if you do them, you'll definitely make it! And I assure you, you can score 50 to 60 something over 70.

The clues I'll be stating are what I did and I must tell you, in the two papers I wrote today, I was asked to answer 4 in the first exam (MTH307) and the other to answer 3 (EDU323). Rememeber, I don't receive lectures, I study myself, and mind you, my programme is B.Sc. (Ed) Mathematics, if this clue work for me and my GP at the moment is 4.0, I think it should work for you.

Go with me....

Clue 1:
Before the semester began, I downloaded all my course materials for that semester. Infact, I must tell you, I downloaded all of them from my Year 1 to Year 4 courses in the year I gained admission, 2013. If you haven't done that, pleas do!

Clue 2:
NOUN has done their materials in a scholarly method. Note that

Clue 3:
What did I do next? I visit a nearby Internet Service Provider (ISP) or a cafe, I searched for Lecture Videos on all my courses for that semester, I downloaded them all!

Clue 4:
After I have done Clue 1 to Clue 3, I did something, ask me what? I drafted a workable time table. I must tell you, my reading hours is 7hours daily! Common, it's for your own good! I do read from 10pm to 5am, sleep between 5am to 6:30am before I get set for work and I'll make sure I get to work 7:10am latest! But some can't study up to that, but minimum of 2hrs daily!

Clue 5:
After the drafting of time table, I start my studying. How?
+ I'll get a note
+ I'll study the course material and I'll also study the textbooks I'll bought on that same topic.
+ The note I got, I'll make my own note on the topic without check the course materials and the textbook.
+ Next is, I'll watch the lecture videos, while watching, I'll be taking notes. I do this for all my course!

Let me stop here, I'll continue tomorrow.... I must confess, I am tired and fainting.

Although, it's tasking, take note of this.

"Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men." (Proverbs 22:29).

If you'll like a copy of my E-book titled: "Techniques for Learning at University Level" send me your email to my whatsapp number on: 08131388834 as:

EASTER: THE MIGHTY AND GREAT EXCHANGE (PART 3)

For the past 3days now, I have been talking about our Lord Jesus Christ, about his crucifixion and it talking about how he died on the cross. Christ who lives a perfect life, Christ who lives a holy life, a spotless life. He did no evil, he lives as a Son of God, he lives as God sent. When the time comes, that the purpose for him to come to the world, I want to boldly tell that the time has eventually come.

That's why tonight, I want to conclude my article which is the part 3 which the title

EASTER: THE MIGHTY AND GREAT EXCHANGE (PART 3)

Go with me!

"IT IS FINISHED"

Who said this words/statement? Where and why did he say it? How did he say it? The answers to this question will be outlined in this article.

The redemption of man kind, the atonement that
need to be made for the sins of the whole world he
said "IT IS FINISHED". As you think about what you have and what you don't have, remember he said;
IT IS FINISHED. No doubt, you know who said the statement "IT IS FINISHED", tell me his name. His name if above every other name in heaven and in earth and his name is Jesus Christ of Nazareth!

The second question is where and why did he say it?
He said it on the Cross of Calvary and he said it because of OUR FREEDOM and our freedom is THROUGH HIS CROSS BEARING.

#sigh, Jesus Christ bore the cross, he bought the
cross for you, your challenge where too heavy for you to carry and that's why he helped you to bear the cross. I am sure you know that on the cross, he was crucified, where you are identified as a the =>Sinner then => the sinner now => talking about you. Tonight, you need to bring them to repentance and let there be conviction and conversion.

Like I said, this season is a period of retreat, a time were you need to come to the Calvary for cleansing. Although, there are different kinds of sins in life : "for the wages of sin is death" don't you know? If you don't know,n let me tell you this:
+ Sin brings suffering,
+ Sin brings sickness.
+ Sin brings bondage

Thank God, I AM FREE!

That is why Jesus Christ said, father forgive them for they know not what they do! that was the final sacrifice, no other sacrifice at that time and the final sacrifice has been declared. The final sacrifice that takes away sins and also takes away sickness.

The Lord Jesus Christ abide in heaven, and the people who believe in him dwell also with him forever in heaven. But note that, if you are still a slave to sin, if you are still a slave to Satan, you can not abide with him in heaven, 'cos the scripture confirms it that " if the Son therefore
shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed ". Other
people think it is impossible to be free from sin and do sickness, from smoking and drinking, but tonight I want to assure you, that if you let Jesus come into your heart you'll be free indeed.

How did he say "IT IS FINISHED?" The answer to this is simple, he said it with agony and with his last breadth and all his strength at the point of crucifixion. It's a pity! Imagine someone with a pool of blood, nailed, whipped, pierced, Imagine that state. It's a time for you to make a U-turn and ask him to come into your heart.

The chain God requires from us as his children is this:

* Repentance » Righteous living » Restitution »Remain in love » Run to Evangelize » Rise to pray.

Time will not permit me to explain each in this article but will do that some other time.

If you know this song, sing it with me, it's titled, "AT THE CROSS" by Isaac Watts

Verse 1:
Alas! and did my Savior bleed
And did my Sov'reign die?
Would He devote that sacred head
For such a worm as I?

Chorus/Refrain:
At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I received my sight,
And now I am happy all the day!

Verse 2:
Thy body slain, sweet Jesus, Thine—
And bathed in its own blood—
While the firm mark of wrath divine,
His soul in anguish stood.

Verse 3:
Was it for crimes that I had done
He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity! grace unknown!
And love beyond degree!

Verse 4:
Well might the sun in darkness hide
And shut his glories in,
When Christ, the mighty Maker died,
For man the creature's sin.

Verse 5:
Thus might I hide my blushing face
While His dear cross appears,
Dissolve my heart in thankfulness,
And melt my eyes to tears.

Verse 6:
But drops of grief can ne'er repay
The debt of love I owe:
Here, Lord, I give myself away,
'Tis all that I can do.

Note this: there is no fellowship with God in soiled garments

Pray this prayer: Help me Lord to stay holy

And I want to employ you, "Take time to be holy"

Don't delay the day of your salvation, delay is dangerous. If you miss heaven you'll cry!

Here I come to the end of this article. Coming next on my list is the title:

ESCATOLOGY (meaning: the events of the "Last Days")

The author has not change his name, he is and has been and will always be

EASTER: THE MIGHTY AND GREAT EXCHANGE (PART 2)

It's Good Friday!!!!

Guess what?

Tonight, I am examining the part 2 of my article titled:

EASTER: THE MIGHTY AND GREAT EXCHANGE (PART 2)

I'll share with you some things I witnessed today that happen in some denominations which I think worth sharing.

I was to deliver a lecture today in a school, and on my way, I saw something... Something indeed!

Uhmmmmm.......

On my way, I saw a group of people from a denomination (name withheld), I was hearing the chant of "crucify him", "crucify him", I was prompted to look vividly at them to know what's wrong, lo and behold I saw a tall guy, wearing white garments and a robe with a "dada" hair and a customized crown of thorns and a cross made with 2 by 2 wood, I asked someone, is that Jesus Christ? The same question is what I want to ask you tonight, is he Jesus Christ?

Anyway, I gave a meaning to the act, I call it MOCKERY. They are mocking God the Son, God the Father and the Holy Spirit. But can anybody mock God?" Be not deceived; God is not mocked:..." (Galatians 6:7)

As the "jesus" was carry the cross, they kept on chanting "crucify him", "crucify him" and he was been whipped. suddenly I overheard some saying, "if na so they beat Jesus, shey he go reach Calvary", I smiled. May I ask, what can we call that? Jesting!!!! Am I right? Yes!

Now, if God goes again jesting and mocking, these people will end up in hell except they repent!

The Mighty and Greater Exchange Jesus did made me and you keep living. Look at it:

+ He payed the price of our guilt while we are yet sinners
+ He has no guile in him, yet he was used as a ransomed for me and you.

I don't need to list what he did, 'cos we know them all, but the fact is thatN except ye repent, ye shall likewise perish!

The Lord Jesus Christ, is the Saviour of the church and is the bride of the church. And he tells us from Matthew 25:1. The Lord is calling us today so that, you can be ready for his second coming in verse 2; this were the people waiting for the Lord, also the people in the world. Five were FOOLISH and five were WISE. In verse 3; the foolish took their own ambassador but they did not make enough preparations. In verse 5; They went to get enough extra oil ,our lives should be burning while the bride groom cometh. And it goes towards and said, it will be a mid night cry.

This period isn't the time to mock or make jest but a time of retreat, seeking God's face, looking unto God as the author and finisher of our faith! "Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call him while he is near". This is a time of preparation, a time to get yourself ready for his second coming.

Salvation is personal, sanctification can not be shared with, holiness can not be seen in your life with you waiting for the bride groom. There's a kind of oil that will help all your soul, that oil will help you through the life. There is a kind of oil that is meant for the rapture, that will take you to meet with the bride groom "TAKE HEED" when the trumpet sound and the dead in Christ rise up, the gate then will open for the righteous. That period will not be like this time and after that the believers has been taken away with the rapture, WATCH THEREFORE.

There are people who are going to be foolish and also there are people who are going to be wise. And for you to be WISE. The people who have been CLEANSE, PURITY and PURGE by the Lord. They are the people that knows that Christ is coming. The foolish life will be burning. Burning - It is a continuous life eternal. Your life shining, getting ready that anytime you hear the trumpet sound. Philippi.

Getting yourself ready and you will not be lost. Revelation 19:7: who are the Virgin? Those who wait patiently, those who prepare themselves for the return of the bride groom. Who the bride groom is, CHRIST THE LORD.

They (the foolish) neglect it, they ignore it. Foolish virgin thought they were wise, they didn't think of the latter end. They didn't think the day of the Lord, the day of rapture and the day of reckoning. But the GREAT MEN, are the people who have the record of waiting for the bride groom.

Let me ask you now, How wise are you?

Know this!

Except a man be born again, he shall not see God. Make yourself ready for the Lord (Latter end), waiting for the return of the bride groom.

Repentance is available,

salvation is available,

heaven is available

for those that repent to the Lord. Don't die as a fool, if you leave your life as a fool, you will die as a fool.

Part 3 is loading....

Say this......

I WILL BE WISE!

God bless you.

I am

EASTER: THE MIGHTY AND GREAT EXCHANGE (Part 1)

Been eve of "Good Friday", It's commonly referred to as a Christian religious holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary.

It's not new that Jesus Christ died and rose again, that's why tonight, I am examining the topic titled:

EASTER: THE MIGHTY AND GREAT EXCHANGE (PART 1)

I'll love to ask a question, although some people never though of such a question. The question is:

"Why did judas betray Jesus?"

Most of us have over the years wonder why Judas betrayed his master, apart from the reason that it has been prophesied, but please don't forget that in the prophecy given about Jesus' betrayal, the name of the betrayer was not given/mentioned, which means it could have been peter or John or thomas or phillip or the judas or any of the disciples! Some of us also believed that it was due to judas love for money but after being paid 30 pieces of silver, he ended up throwing the money away!

Nevertheless, his GREED and love for money can't be overlooked, considering the reason. The main reason judas betrayed Jesus was because he was the most OFFENDED among the rest of the disciples, who were also offended against Jesus for not stopping Mary, the sister of Lazarus, who poured her expensive oil from an alabaster box on Him, when they were all in the house of simon the leper! You need to Study Matt.26:6-16 to understand this better.

Matt.26:8 made it clear that it was ALL the 12 disciples that was angry and offended at what that woman with the Alabaster box of expensive ointment did to Jesus! Verse9 also made it clear that it was ALL the 12 disciples(not just Judas) that suggested that the expensive oil should be sold and given to the poor but verse 14-16 says it was only ONE out of the offended 12 disciples that took the matter too personal; he went too far because he was disappointed and was the most OFFENDED among them, coupled with his GREED, he concluded that if he(Judas) cannot sell the alabaster oil for money, then he must sell Jesus(the one whom the oil was poured on)for money!

We have a lot "disciples", pastors, bishops, etc today, who are still SELLING Jesus for money; they because of GREED are betraying their master(Christ) by merchandising the anointing. It's a pity.

May I ask you, don't you think Jesus had the power to freed himself after th arrest? Definitely, he has, but why did he? It's because, the will of the Father be done.
"...O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. " (Matthew 26:42).
He allowed it all because of LOVE.

Love is the motivation for everything God did for us in Christ Jesus. This week is a celebration of the mix of love and compassion that God displayed for us. More than two thousand years ago, heaven invaded the earth, and the result was the redemption of man. God became (flesh) man, walked the earth and paid our legal, spiritual and social debt. We earned our freedom on the basis of his blood.

Christianity without love is the definition of religion. Love for the Holy Spirit activates a walk in the supernatural. Love for others is one of the test of our love for God. The system of the law with a windows 98 is good but cannot operate our current walk with God that is a system of grace with a windows 10. The system of the law was good, but was just to guard us until Christ came (Galatians 4).

Real Article:
Easter: The Great and Mighty Exchange
Jesus Christ did nothing else other than EXCHANGE. Exchange in what sense, he died for you and me so that we can be redeemed, reconciled to God, our creator. It's a great and mighty exchange because no man on earth even in heaven do that. That's why the Bible recorded it that "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. " (John 15:13)
Get it clear....
+ Jesus Christ died so that we'll not die (physical death), so that we'll not perish in Hell provided we accept him. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. " (John 3:16).

+ Jesus Christ resurrection makes us a new creature by faith. Jesus died so we could change. Without his death, there is no justification before God. There is no Holy Spirit coming to heal our rebellious souls and make our small acts of worship worthy. Without Jesus we're trapped. We are slaves to our own sinful desires and couldn't obey God even if we wanted to. And God had every right to leave us this way, but he didn't. Out of the shear force of his loving will, because of grace alone, he sent Jesus to take on our sin. This encounter with such unimaginable grace will change you.

There are other reasons why he died, but I'll be examining them in the next Part.

All that we need to do was just confess with our mouths the lordship of Jesus and also confess with our hearts that God raised him from the dead and we will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). That becomes the genesis of our walk with the king. Pretty soon, we discover that salvation is a launch into a love world and walk with God and man.

Now that Christ has come, we are no longer under the system of the law but grace. The reason for all of these is love. Grace is the facility for a love walk with God and man. That is why whether you are an Anglican, Methodist, Redeem, Winners, Deeper, Baptist, Dream center or whatever, love should be our common identity. I mean love for God and man. All these petty jealousy, criticism and condemnation of ourselves is not God's way.

No matter your denomination, if you find it difficult to relate with other believers only because of denominational difference, may be you need a spiritual overhaul. Friends of God, the true church is mystical, it goes beyond the confines of denomination or church buildings.

All these "mine is better than yours" mindset is not going to get us anywhere in the body of Christ in this nation. Our doctrinal differences may be a matter, but is should not separate us. Some believers find it difficult to attend other people's programmes, yet they keep inviting others. True, you don't want to be 'contaminated', but he/she too does not want to be 'contaminated' too.

If you have an issue with any believer, you can correct the person biblically with love, not condemn such. In heaven there is no winners lodge or Redeem close or Deeper street or Baptist junction, it is the same heaven for all of us. The same believer you don't want to have anything to do with not as a result of sin, but for denominational difference will also make it to that same heaven!

It is the same strategy of division that the enemy is using against the body. Friends, let us get back to the altar of love and unity. "... While we are yet sinners Jesus died for us..." He expect the reciprocation of the love, but imagine, if we don't love ourselves, how can we claim to love God? And how can we even win the world for Jesus? Our ministry is of reconciliation in love, not condemnation through intense criticism and hatred.

Now, Christ said and is saying, the exchange I made on the cross and that you've accepted, he said "Go and tell them the story, and that's where evangelism comes in. I must say, evangelism must be motivated by love. Let love be the motivation for all your actions as a believer. I love you and Jesus loves you more. Have a purpose driven Easter period.

I want to drop my pen here for part 1 as we awaits Part 2 of this article.

But before I drop my pen, sing this song with me...

He loves me I cannot say why,
He loves me I cannot say why,
On Calvary tree, He suffered for me,
He loves me I cannot say why.

You'll know why when part 2 comes...

God bless us

I haven't changed my name...

A GLIMPSE HAPPENING IN MARRIAGE

I read an article online and I was touched. It's all about marriage.

Infact, the day I read it, some of my friends made it clear to me that, "Isaac, the way I see you, you are capable of getting married next year. And nothing will stop you 'cos you have everything marriage requires", I was like, "I am sorry, it's not possible" and I responded, in matter of 20years to come, I'll get married. That one is by the way.

I have come to realize some facts and truths which some of us may know and some don't, so, I'll like you to read carefully 'cos this article will transform your marital life whether you are in or you are about to go in or you are in already or even you are out (divorce). I tell you, you'll not regret you read.

I'll be saying some things here but God is the giver of the knowledge, like I said, I am not married but I can transform and reform your marriage.

Do you sense God's call upon your life, already understand His purpose for your existence; but scared to take those revealed 'bold steps' towards its fulfilment?

Are you convinced about your leading to that particular sister, but still delaying or afraid of giving a positive response to that God-sent brother after all convictions and confirmations due to the bitter experiences of others in their marriages?

Like some will say, "uuuhhhhmmm, this issue of marriage self, can I really go into it..." won't I rather be another 'Brother Paul'/'Sister Paul'?

Probably yours is about your repeated marriage failure, things not going well, inability to feed the family after wedding? And you say: "Why am I so different, why can't I succeed like others....". "Is this woman having a good fortune at all?" "Abi, she's not God's will" I am quiete sure, all this questions make you feel 'caged' and makes you scared of starting all over!

To married women, probably, sometimes ago, you once had a miscarriage, the pains you went through still keeps flashing through your mind, and now scared of getting pregnant again, you don't even want your husband to come closer?

Probably yours is about the issue of location; you know God is leading you to change your location and move to a totally strange city; but to you, it seems like a desert, and you are wondering how can 'water' flow in that desert land?

Some will say, 'I'm a man, I can do anything', I heard one popular Yoruba musician sang a song 'I can have many wives, it's not bad but if a woman has two men, it's illegal and she's a prostitute'. Permit me to tell you that if as a man, you're involved in such, you are also a prostitute, no more no less. Prostitution is not a function of the female gender, it applies to both.

As a married man, you flirt with ladies and say 'Its a man's world, I can have more than one woman'. You are not a man, you're just a boy who does not understand the principle of self control, integrity and the fear of God!

Stop deceiving yourself and allowing the devil to play with your destiny! A responsible man will take care of a woman in hundred ways not 'taking care of women' in one way. Faithfulness is a virtue, get it!

Your success is not in the hands of some foreign women or women in general, it's in your hands with God. Some men, you have allowed your erection to be your director, what do we call that? May God save you!!!!

You're adjusted and created to be a leader, why then are you allowing the devil enslave you on the laps of women. Inside of you is Rose, Precious, Peju and so on (apology if that's your name),

Let me Say this, some men don't know that for as many that you have sexual intercourse with, you form a covenant with them and carries whatever they carry too, good or bad? Unfortunately, bad most times!

Where are the young men who ought to be vibrant for God and taking the world, they are asleep in the bosom of strange women! What on earth are you looking for in another lady when you have your wife, covetousness it is called! I won't be surprised when you get stuck with one and lose your destiny!

Men, open your ears and listen, "for every Samson there is a Delilah and for every Joseph, there is a Mrs. Potiphar."

These two men were lured by a woman but the difference is the condition of their heart. No man or woman can lure you into immorality if you don't allow it, it starts from your heart, what is going on in your thought - to yield or desist?

Let's be real to ourselves, keep that thing inside your trousers, if you cannot zip up as a young man before WEDDING, you will remain zip down even after WEDDING. It is not a sin to have an erection, but it is a sin to follow the direction of that erection, if you allow your erection to determine your direction you will end up in destruction!

I am not condemning anyone, let's just call a spade a spade. Make decision to change today, it is not too late, Christ is waiting for you, to give you a great future, to re-create you, to re-mold you and make you a better person. The choice is yours, come to Jesus before it's too late.

We are in a world where people believe that they know what is right and wrong. Many are fast becoming opinionated and there's nothing no one could say that can negate their opinion. And if you do, you'll be termed being judgmental.

Many marriages have fallen, some has no trace and some it's quarrel everyday, beating everyday, do you know why? Some of the reason is Adultery and Fornication. Adultery and fornication is a common virus that has infected lots of people. Teenagers are fornicating, they call it fun; married people are having sexual relationship outside their marriage and they find justification for their escapades.

The fact that the society we live in justifies fornication and adultery to be right doesn't makes it so. How I wish people understood what's at stake than to venture into the destructive pleasure it offers.

Do you know that one thing that makes people fornicate or commit adultery is their lack of understanding?

Understanding to people is relative. Some people only understand the physical nature of things while some comprehends both the physical and spiritual implications of a thing.

If the understanding you have about fornication or adultery is only about the 'fun' you enjoy without knowing what's at stake, you lack understanding.
.
It's not understanding when you're only bothered about the pleasure in sexual sin. And it doesn't even matter if you have a PhD, go to church oftentimes or you're a worker in there, you're educated, connected with informed people or you're so exposed or vast in knowledge. All of that doesn't matter.

My beloved brothers and sisters, concerning all these 'happenings', 'prunings' are all because of what God is set to do in your life which is beyond you; because He has purposed to make you an 'answer' to the problems of this generation! Your refusal to take that convinced 'step' is synonymous to saying: "Lord, don't use me...announce

Yourself through another person"! No, Beloved, you have been assigned to fulfil that great purpose and you WILL; God's grace is sufficient for you. So, GO!!!

On a final note, Marriage is different from Wedding, Wedding is a day event and marriage is a life time commitment and vow. Make your marriage count for eternity, build godly children, and not wayward ones.. Someone said marriage is an institution. I examined it and found out it's true. In an institution, when you have completed your academic program, a certificate is given to you to show what your ground and level is.. So also in marriage, the children is the certificate, they speak about the family outside, the type of family background be it good or bad.

To round off, Pastor (Dr.) W.F Kumuyi said no age bracket for marriage, you may be 15, 16, 17 or whatever age, you can get married provided you can fulfill all mandatory of the family, in terms of food, shelter and clothing.

It's a pleasure you have read....

Thank you so much, I love you.

I do have a name....
