RULES AND REGULATIONS GUIDING "NOUN STUDENTS' CHATROOM"

RULES AND REGULATIONS GUIDING "NOUN STUDENTS' CHATROOM"

Before I outline these rules, I want you to note some things.

1. The rule is not to hurt anyone
2. The rule is to help achieve the sole aim of creating the group
3. Nobody is a Boss in this group
4. These rules and regulation is made on this day 25th April, 2016.

Also, few minutes after the publication of this rules, the group name will henceforth be "NOUN STUDENTS' INFOROOM"

This is because, many participants here mistook the group name as a platform for chatting and unnecessary discussions.

Here the rules are as follows:

RULE 1:
Don't argue over silly matters
Nowadays there are huge number of complains that there have been quarrels over petty issues on this platform. A group is something where you must cherish your sweet moments with your friends or family. It's not a battleground where you can take a pistol and shoot the other! If you do want to argue with an individual, visit his/her private chat and put forward your opinions and not on this group where you disturb others, low their batteries with irrelevant chats. I as a person want to plead, that you stop it. But if anyone if found wanting in this will be removed and won't hear any opinions.

RULE 2:
Refrain from chatting with a single person
Do you know the meaning of a group? A "group" is a collection of individuals who interact with each other on a regular basis and share their thoughts. You could very well switch onto a private chat if you want to have a talk with a particular person. You must interact with all of your buddies in a group and treat them equally. Well,it puts off others in a group when they switch on their cellular data and find your nonsensical messages to a single person in a group! But in the same vein, when you want to add up a person from the group for a private chat, I employ you have proper manners, well behaved so as to avoid insults and been blocked, be courteous and don't have negative interior motive. If paraventure you do otherwise, you add a participant up and he or she sends complaints about you, you'll be removed and be blocked!

RULE 3:
Never begin a topic that would hurt religious or cultural sentiments
This is a definite no! NOUNites is an institutions consisting of students from different religions and cultures. There would be a Hindu, a Christian, a Muslim, a Sikh or even a Zoroastrian. And of course, there will be students hailing from North,South,East and West. Why don't you welcome them with a warm heart instead of stabbing them with a religious post, comment or pic? Though they might be helpless (remember they are not political hotshots to fight against you for your post),you will surely receive their wrath that would last for a lifetime! And to avoid this, it is strictly advised that you don't post such and if you do, you'll be dealt with!

RULE 4:
Don't make fun of anyone
Yes, making fun or bullying somebody in a group like this is the most atrocious way of irritating them! Do you even know how the other person might feel? Infact, do you know who he or she is, a millitary man, an armed force or an herbalist! Do you know if you make fun of someone, They are being enslaved to ubiquitous shame and they would never show up in the group if you gonna taunt them forever. There is a limit to everything and you must abide by that, failure to do so, it will call for your exit door and never to be re-added.

RULE 5:
Don't comment awful things about an actor or a celebrity
This is NOUN platform (although not official) and not a platform where you'll deliberate on a matter relating to a celebrity or an actor. No doubt, There is a fan for each and every actor/ celebrity in the world. You probably might not know about that and you would indulge in posting nasty comments about that particular celebrity. Well, then begins the war within a group! There are hardcore fanatics who would rip off your limbs if you ever try to bog down their favorite actor. They might worship them as Gods and you would find yourself in trouble for your not-meant-to-be-serious comment. If one or two or more participants is involved, for as many are involved, to them, we'll show the exit door. Please be warn!

RULE 6:
Don't spam with unnecessary chains and forward messages
This is very common among many whatsapp users. Euch messages include
"Plz Plz Plz..Forward this message immediately..This baby needs AB-ve blood.." (that baby would have probably
received blood way back in 2009 itself),

"WhatsApp will be off from 11.30 pm to 6:00 am daily WhatsApp logo will change color" (do you even know who is Aarohi Deshmukh?).

No doubt, You might have seen these messages right from when you have joined WhatsApp. And the trouble has followed you even after joining a group. These chains and forward messages are meant for nothing. They are hoax and are forwarded just for the fun of it!
If you do so, trust me, I'll remove you!

RULE 7:
Don't leave the group and Request to be Added
You might have deleted the group unknowingly. In that case, you can request the admin to add you back. But what if intentionally you leave the group just because you are frustrated or have personal issues with someone? The group is not to be blamed. Yes, you may ask the admin to add you back and might add you back with a warning. But even then if you insist on leaving the group, you will be eventually thrown out!

RULE 8:
Refrain from posting unnecessary things
Although this rule seems similar to RULE 1 to RULE 6. This means and show how important it is. This NOUN Whatsapp group is meant to be a specific one, specific in sharing issues related to NOUN, Academic Affairs, or Tips, Career Tips, News relating to education that can affect the participants positively and can be of good help to all. "Genuine Vacancies" can be posted, since the motto of the school is "Work and Learn". Participants can make requests on issues mentioned above. Wise Jokes can be posted and comments can be made but minimal. Excessive comments that calls for arguments and foolish talking may lead to the exits of parties involved

RULE 9:
Don't exhibit rude behavior or snap at anyone
Being rude on this platform completely exposes your true colors to your friends who were trusting you till then. If something angers you, politely move away from the chat or switch off your cellular data. Instead don't snap at the person who angered you with their post or opinion.
Remember everybody has the right to share their thoughts on any topic but not religious or celebrity related.

RULE 10:
Actively participate in the group
This seems very common as well, some participants will never share, or add, rather they'll be mute, simple what you are saying is, you can add value, and on this platform, we want participants that can and will add values.your participation on this group determines your attitude. Don't completely ignore and don't over-talk. It is enough even if you send occasional "good morning" or "good night" messages. If you have been busy, get back to your group once or twice in a week. Keep a check on the conversations so that you don't miss something important. If someone had an achievement, congratulate them even
though it maybe belated. Actively participate and keep the group alive!

Now, the group name is no more "NOUN STUDENTS' CHATROOM" but "NOUN STUDENTS' INFOROOM"

If you want to make comments on this rules, please do and if you know it doesn't suit you, kindly and honorably leave.

NB: Being the admin is a privilege and it doesn't call for reward. Please when making your comments be objective.

Thank you very much.
