NIGERIA MY FATHERLAND (Part 3)

Since three days I have been discussing a topic which today I come with the final part of the write-up which also will make it 8days to my Birthday which is 13th December, 2015! Yesterday, I discussed, outlined and buttressed some cogent points but if you missed part 1 and part 2, kindly visit www.donzikkmayowa.blogspot.com to get the re-cap.

Today, I want to discuss the final saga of it titled

NIGERIA MY FATHERLAND (Part 3)

I used to wonder when Nigerians say Its calls for celebration because today, our nation, Nigeria is a year older. I mean, usually on October 1st, 1960, Nigeria
gained independence from the hands of her colonial master, Great Britain.

Although, I was not born then, my parents recounted the euphoria of the colorful occasion to me as a child. My father spoke of how important the day was for them back then and that many Nigerians took to the streets to celebrate the day. The independence meant freedom, prosperity, development, and a sense of identity and oneness for a people of diverse culture and tongues at that time. But today, even right now as you are reading, are we truly free, independent, prosperous, developed? It's a pity we can't differentiate between been in bondage and been free in Nigeria. Just imagine, an average Nigeria can hardly bears this sentiment or opinion about the essence of this day.

Like I was told, imagine some of the patriots of our independence namely Herbert Macaulay, Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe, Sir Ahmadu Bello, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, H O Davies, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and many others longed for this day by fighting vigorously, SELFLESSLY to make sure the independence is gained and here we'll be chanting the Nigeria National Anthem saying:

"...the labor of our heroes past

shall never be in vain."

I weep!

I personally, a citizen, don't know about you, I ponder on these words and wonder if our patriots will be happy with the events that has befallen their labor. My readers, do you ponder?

Back then, our patriots lived normal lives among us without fear, they did not own Switzerland bank accounts nor was there any sharing of 'Ghana must go bags', and our political arena was not for the money bags but it was geared on principles and ideologies. These men stood for what they believed and gave their service to see that we have a nation called Nigeria.

If a patriot like Chief Obafemi Awolowo who gave free education in the South-west were to be alive, will he have watched that the universities across our nation be shut since during the strike that lasted for over 10 months or will he be happy with the increaments in school fees and other unnecessary fees? Will the patriots be happy at the pace of our development and commitment to live together as a nation?

Since 1960, we have experienced 5 successful coups, 2 abortive coups, an attempted coup, and 3 alleged coups. These coup d'états reflect the distrust that exist within us and the imbalance in our society which have hampered our growth and development whether under the military or civilian administration. Our fledgling democracy is bedeviled by corruption, assassination, kidnapping, ethnicity and socio-political unrest. The unsettled political arena is threatening our unity and the struggle to keep us together as a nation is increasing by the day. The responsibility to preserve this day is that of Mr. President and every Nigerian.

Hear me readers, open your eyes, be wise, don't be fooled by the so called CHANGE. There can only be change between two or more things, change can either be positive or negative change. Which one is happening now? Can you answer that? Imagine, Politics has becomes family/lineage inheritance. Instances, look at Kogi state election, what can you say about it? Look at the so called Jagaban, imposing candidate on the people by all means, I can't explain this acts, can some help me? It's a pity!

Someone, although old and above 70years of age told me some days ago while discussing with him about Nigeria, he said Nigeria cannot be cured rather will become worse. I asked why? He said we are in the Last Days and Bible has prophesied it. I was moved with compassion. My dear brothers and sisters if Nigeria can't be cure, it can be maintained so as not become worst, that's why I want to ask you;

What are you doing to make Nigeria a better place?

Positive?

Or

Negative?

Which one?

In conclusion, before I pen off, do you know we have an HERO that surpasses any hero? He is the King of kings, the Lord of lords, He is the saviour of the world. No one comes to God except through him.... His name is JESUS! As we say, "the labour of our heros, shall never be in vain" Do you know that Jesus also labour for you and for me? He died for you and for me so that we will escape hell and its judgment, do you want Jesus blood shed on the cross to be in vain? Why don't you come to him today, accept him ad you Lord and Savior, then you carry out his commission, "go ye into all the world and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"

To end this article, I want to say, read this Rauf Kazeem Isaac Anthem

Arise O, Children of God,
Lord Jesus calls obey,
To serve our Lord Jesus,
With Love and Strength and Faith,
The labour of our Lord Jesus,
Shall never be in vain,
To serve with Love and Might,
To bring sinner to Christ
With Love and Unity

I pledge to Jesus, my Saviour,
To be faithful, loyal and honest,
To serve him with all my heart,
To defend Christ all over the world,
So help me God.

O Readers, what are you waiting for?

pray with the Second stanza of the Nigerian anthem that
" O God of creation....

I remain a loyal, faithful and law abiding citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Let me say, Our leaders must rise up to their responsibilities to us. It is time we realize our rights as citizens of this great nation and demand for it. It is the civic responsibility we owe ourselves and our children.

God bless the people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Good evening fellow law abiding citizens of FRN

NIGERIA MY FATHERLAND (Part 2)

Today makes it 9days to my Birthday.... Yes, I mean 13th December, 2015 is my Birthday! Yesterday, I discussed and broadcasted a topic titled

NIGERIA MY FATHERLAND (Part 1).

Tonight, I want to continue with the same topic

NIGERIA MY FATHERLAND (Part 2)

With what I discussed yesterday, I outlined some deeds, acts and works of our present so called leaders, but it is clear that what our present elected leaders are doing is not the vision of our heroes past. Can't you imagine, we, Nigerians, sending our sons and daughters to study abroad when we can afford to give them the best education in Nigeria was not the dream our heroes had. Going abroad at the slightest medical condition when our hospitals could become as good as those in those foreign countries was not what vision great men like Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and Alhaji Sir Tafawa Balewa had for this great nation.

Today, when a governor coughs, he flies to a hospital in Germany. What about the common Nigerian? Where will he fly to when he coughs? You know the answer to this question yourself. Nigerian doctors and nurses are one of the best in the world but rather than providing them everything they need to be the best in the world, our leaders leave them to 'manage' with substandard equipments while they will run off to Germany to receive the best medical attention at the slightest whim.

It's of no doubt that some of our present leaders may have the best at heart. Some may truly care for the people but surround themselves with hungry praise singers as advisers and assistants and those people cause them to loose their vision. Some elected leaders have come with good intentions but when the foundation (advisory) is faulty, the so called advisers will fail in its objectives. This is very obtainable in higher institutions today.

Imagine a school were advisers will copy school policies workable in another country and without thoroughly scrutinizing the policy will introduce same to the weak and ill-heart leaders to implement. On more than one occasion this has happened in this country causing untold hardship of the people who are already suffering. As a leader, God has given you a head to reason with and expects you to reason and carry out adequate consultations from people who will tell you the trust for what it is before accepting or rejecting the advise. This however is not obtainable in Nigeria.

Our leaders tell us to be patient. Are they known for patience themselves? Our leaders are the most impatient
people and still urge us to be patient while they enjoy all the blessings God gave this nation alone. They tell us to be patient for roads but they do not feel what we feel because they barely use our bad roads. They are busy blowing tax-payers money and our national blessings on jet fuel. They tell us to be patient for electricity while they have their Mikano generators giving them twenty-four hours light at our own expense. The common Nigeria barely manages to eat three meals a day while all their meals are buffets and they still tell us to be patient.

The problems in this country today are the aftermath of greed. Islamic militancy, kidnapping, armed robbery all have roots from the greed of our leaders. If our leaders were more sincere, we will have uninterrupted power supply in this country which will boost industry and create employment reducing the number of idle youth vulnerable to a life of crime. If our leaders were sincere, they would create job opportunities for the youth, an enabling environment for development and industry but greed have not yet allowed them to do the right things for their people. What a pity!

Nigeria needs re-orientation. The greed of our leaders have sipped down and affected the common citizens of this nation. Somebody asked a question some years ago 'can you die for Nigeria?' And I was not surprised to see nobody was ready to die for Nigeria.

But like I do say, "the power to rule a nation is not in the hand of the presidency nor senate! But in the hands of believer who can pray." And I want to assume and believer that the reader of this article is a believer, if you are, what is stopping you from praying for a desolating nation, Nigeria. There are powers in the nations which are mighty and sharper than any two edged sword but the fear to use it... May God deliver us.

I, Rauf Kazeem Isaac, have powers (talents) not one, nor two, the power to write, criticize, and instruct, I promise to use it to change Nigeria. May I ask you, "What power do you have?" Identify it and use it to heal Nigeria of her wound.

My fellow citizens, it's not only prayer, like we all know, faith without works is death, for the prayer to have impact, it must be backed up with actions. John F Kennedy in one of his famous speeches to the American people said '…do not look for what America will do for you, look for what you will do for America…' But Rauf Kazeem Isaac wants to say "...do not look for what Nigeria will do for you, look for what you will do for Nigeria…' this is obtainable in a country that understands and honors its debts and obligations to her citizens. Nigeria is yet to understand and honor her debts and obligations to her citizens. Our founding fathers are looking down with shame and regret. Men and women who died for Nigeria, who gave their lives for our freedom and unity weep in their graves.

I know this article will travel far, because I publish it @ www.donzikkmayowa.blogspot.com and I pray it doesn't leads to arrest.

But...

I must say at this juncture that we have failed.

Great Nigerians, let me stop PART 2 here while you awaits the final part! (Part 3).

It's my pleasure you read this...

Goodevening to you all.....

NIGERIA MY FATHERLAND (Part 1)

It's 9days to my Birthday.... Oh, I mean 13th December, 2015 is my Birthday! I look backward, I evaluated my achievements and my impact to this great nation, Nigeria and ask myself, "what have I done to make Nigeria, a better place to live"

I could only trace back to few of them while others, I mean majority of my achievements and impact to life is for my SELF and which is not suppose to be, but what made it to be so, it's because of the present state of the nation.

That is why tonight, I want to share something with you I title

NIGERIA MY FATHERLAND (Part 1)

In this topic, I'll be picking my scope from the Nigeria National Anthem, to be precise, just two lines from the Verse 1 of the Anthem which is

"…the labor of our heroes past,

shall never be in vain…"

Uhmmmmmmm...... It's a pity, Nigerians don't know that this statements are strong words, in fact they are strong promise which unfortunately we have forgotten. Looking at Nigeria as a whole today, our heroes past will shed tears as what is obtainable today was not the vision they had for us for which they risked their lives and freedom to free us from our colonial masters.

The problem of Nigeria started from the very first coup when the military left their constitutional responsibility to take up new responsibilities they were ill-prepared for. They came with the excuse of restoring peace and curtailing corruption and ended up creating further unrest and corruption.

Today, our 'elected' leaders in most cases are still tolling the path set by those military henchmen that ran Nigeria like their family business.

To them, some of them have sold your birthright and solving the problems of the citizens who see them as small god and to them, they think there is no longer a priority, Illiteracy and lack of knowledge and understanding of our civil rights which would have helped give the weak ones more boost to continue treating themselves like say... They are completely ignorant of it, isn't that a shame?....

Nigerians the way they like and nobody says anything about it. For people we claim we 'voted' them into power, the indiscriminate use of sirens and abuse of our rights by using security men to chase us from their way tells a very different story. That, is just a tip of the iceberg and nothing compared to the suffering our 'elected' leaders are subjecting Nigerians to.

For a country so well blessed, our heroes past will turn in their graves when they look at how our leaders have succeeded in mis-managing our God given natural resources. Our heroes past will regret fighting for our independence when they see how greed and monetary gains have turn this great nation apart resulting in the unrest (BOKO HARAm) we are experiencing in this country today.

For a country so blessed, our leaders should all be ashamed of themselves; but then, they have no shame as long as their pockets and bank accounts are overflowing with their loot. Because we have not fully understood our powers as citizens of this country, that is why government will formulate policies that aren't obtainable in Nigeria and force it down on us knowing that nothing will happen.

Because we do not know our rights, government can afford to give us tit-bits, substandard facilities and rather than demand for standard facilities, we praise them for giving us the worst facilities.

Somebody said, whatever is done should be done well. If government will give me a road that will crumble before two years, then government should not give me the road at all let me understand that government has done nothing rather than trying to fool our intelligence into believing they have done something. As far as I can tell, Nigeria should be the richest and most blessed nation on the face of the planet. Nigeria is one of the few countries in the world endowed with many types of natural resources apart from oil which has become the source of our downfall.

Many of the great nations in the world do not possess a quarter of what we have yet with the little they have, they have turned their economy and people around making them greater than 'rich' countries like Nigeria. With what we have, our brothers and sisters will not be scampering away from this country to go and become taxi drivers and waiters in countries of which Nigeria is clearly richer than.

It's a pity, our sons and daughters run to a country like England which is virtually devoid of natural resources and are turned into slaves in another man's land when God have given them one of the richest nations in the world as their home.

I think I have to stop PART 1 here, and I hope this article won't bring up something else....

But I remain my humble person,
